American Energy, Refined

Wynnewood Refinery was founded in the early 1970s on a simple premise: America's energy security depends on domestic refining capacity that is technically excellent, operationally disciplined, and willing to invest for the long term. That founding principle continues to guide every operational and investment decision we make today.

Over the past five decades, we have grown from a regional fuel supplier into a nationally significant refiner — one with the scale, technical expertise, and infrastructure to respond to shifting market demands. Most recently, that has meant a decisive pivot toward renewable fuels. Our Sustainable Aviation Fuel and Renewable Diesel production units, commissioned in 2022 and 2023 respectively, represent the most significant capital investment in the company's history and position Wynnewood at the forefront of America's energy transition.
